Broccoli & Cheese Soup W/ Jalapenos


  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 3 Jalapeno peppers, diced
  • 3 tsp of Wagco Jalapeno Balsamic
  • 4 1/2 tsp of Wagco Butter Olive Oil
  • 1/2 cup of flour
  • 1 1/2 cups of whole milk
  • 1/2 heavy cream
  • 1 cup of chicken broth
  • 1 head of broccoli, chopped
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • crumbled feta cheese for topping


Heat a large pot to medium heat. Add Butter olive oil, onion, Jalapenos, and Jalapeno Balsamic. Cook till the onions and jalapenos are softened (about 4 mins.) Add the milk and heavy cream. Stir to mix well. Add chicken broth and broccoli. Bring to a boil and the reduce heat to low. Cover and let simmer for 20 minutes until it is nice and tender. Stir in the cheese and allow it to melt. Season with salt and pepper. Serve and at the feta cheese as a topping.
