Sautéed Green Beans W/ Onions

 Ingredients:

Pour half of the olive oil in a large nonstick skillet (I use my well seasoned cast iron skillet). Add onions and cook over medium heat 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and tender. Meanwhile, cook green beans in lightly salted boiling water 5 to 7 minutes until crisp-tender.  Drain green beans well, then add to skillet of sautéed onions. Add salt, pepper, lemon (optional) and remaining oil.  Toss green beans to coat well. Transfer to serving dish.
*Note: recipe can be doubled for a large crowd
