Honey Ginger Applesauce

  • 3-4 lbs quarted cooking apples. Leave the peeling on.
  • 1 cup of water
  • 3 tbsps Wagco Honey Ginger Balsamic Vinegar (Also try with Wagco Cinnamon Pear, Red Apple, or Cranberry Pear Balsamic.)
  • 3 in Cinnamon Stick
  • 2-4 tbsp white sugar

In a large pot, bring the apples and water to a boil. Once it has started to boil, lower the heat and let the apples simmer until they appear to be soft (about 20-30 mins), then remove the apples from heat. Mash the apples with a fork, or a potato masher, (you can decide how thick you would prefer the apples to be.) Add the Honey Ginger Balsamic and sugar to taste. Ready to serve hot or refrigerate.

[Do not add the white sugar with the Honey Ginger Balsamic to make this dish Paleo.]
